These gatherings offer space for conversation about the experiences of women and two-spirit/nonbinary leaders from unrecognized California Nations. Our first event, in 2022, was a four-day gathering in support of thirty Indigenous women leaders and their allies, located at a private nonprofit retreat center on the Central Coast. Each year the gathering grows, grounded in inter-tribal solidarity, cultural celebration, and traditional healing ceremonies.
